Zudem ist es eine der neun Provinzen des Landes. Die Hauptstadt der Insel tr\u00e4gt den gleichen Namen wie die Insel, sie hei\u00dft Jeju-si (&#8222;si&#8220; steht f\u00fcr Stadt) oder einfach Jeju City.&nbsp;Die Insel entstand auf<strong> Vulkangestein des Gebirges Hallasan<\/strong>, welcher mit 1.950 m auch der h\u00f6chste Berg S\u00fcdkoreas ist. Dieser ist ein erloschener Vulkan mit einem Kratersee und befindet sich in der Mitte der Insel. Heutzutage ist das Gebirge und seine Umgebung ein<strong> Nationalpark<\/strong>. Die Insel verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber subtropisches Klima und ist eines der ber\u00fchmtesten Urlaubsziele der Koreaner. Vor ein paar Jahren war es zudem auch einer der beliebtesten Orte f\u00fcr Flitterwochen. Um genau zu sein steht das Wort &#8222;dol&#8220; <span lang=\"ko-Hang\" xml:lang=\"ko-Hang\">(\ub3cc) f\u00fcr Stein und \u201chareubang\u201d (\ud558\ub974\ubc29) f\u00fcr Gro\u00dfvater, es sind also <strong>die steinernen (kleinen) Gro\u00dfv\u00e4ter<\/strong>. Und nat\u00fcrlich werden diese kleinen <\/span><span lang=\"ko-Hang\" xml:lang=\"ko-Hang\"><\/span><span lang=\"ko-Hang\" xml:lang=\"ko-Hang\">Skulpturen auch in allen m\u00f6glichen Varianten als Souvenirs verkauft. Diese Versionen erinnern mich ehrlich gesagt ein bisschen an die kleinen Trolle aus dem Disney Film Frozen. In S\u00fcdkorea wurde die Frucht allerdings <strong>nach dem Gebirge Hallasan im Zentrum der Insel benannt<\/strong>, wo das Obst am meisten angebaut wird. Neben den Fr\u00fcchten bieten die M\u00e4rkte auch gepressten Saft, Schokolade und kleine Backwaren mit Hallabong- und Tangerinenf\u00fcllung an. Dieser alte, traditionelle Beruf wird nur von Frauen ausgef\u00fchrt. Sie sind <strong>Apnoetaucherinnen (Freitaucherinnen), welche Meeresfr\u00fcchte vom Meeresboden ernten<\/strong>. Sie tauchen nur mit Neoprenanz\u00fcgen und Schwimmflossen \u2013 <strong>bis zu 20 Meter tief<\/strong>. Da sie keine Sauerstoffflaschen nutzen, haben sie spezielle Trainings, um das Anhalten der Luft unter Wasser zu verl\u00e4ngern. Forscher fanden heraus, dass sie ihren Atem l\u00e4nger anhalten k\u00f6nnen, indem sie ihre Milz als Sauerstoffspeicher nutzen. Der Beruf als Haenyeo ist nicht nur k\u00f6rperlich fordernd, sondern auch <strong>lebensbedrohlich durch die tiefen Tauchg\u00e4nge<\/strong>. Da die Frauen Gefahr laufen beim Auftauchen bewusstlos zu werden, tauchen sie normalerweise immer nur in zweier Paaren. Jahrhundert tauchten sowohl M\u00e4nner als auch auch Frauen in den Meeren Koreas, um sich hiermit ihren Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen. Sp\u00e4ter wurde es ein reiner Frauenberuf. Dies liegt vermutlich vor allem daran, dass <strong>viele M\u00e4nner auf See durch den Krieg umkamen<\/strong>, so wie es eine deutliche<strong> Erh\u00f6hung der Steuern<\/strong> f\u00fcr M\u00e4nner gab. Der Beruf als Apnoetaucherin wurde <strong>sehr beliebt<\/strong> und gewann an <strong>Prestige<\/strong>. Haemyeos bekamen <strong>mehr Rechte und Freiheiten<\/strong> im Unterschied zu den Frauen am Festland. So konnten sie sich beispielsweise scheiden lassen oder auch wieder heiraten. Nur noch wenige junge Frauen lassen sich zur Aponetaucherin ausbilden. Die meisten Haenyeos sind <strong>\u00fcber 60 Jahre alt<\/strong>. Die Besch\u00e4ftigung ist nicht nur k\u00f6rperlich sehr fordernd, sondern auch der <strong>Klimawandel<\/strong> spielt eine wichtige Rolle. Die Meere um Korea werden immer w\u00e4rmer und zerst\u00f6ren so den nat\u00fcrlichen Lebensraum der Meerestiere. Die Frauen m\u00fcssen daher jedes Jahr ein St\u00fcckchen tiefer tauchen, um genug Meeresfr\u00fcchte zu finden und hiermit ihren Lebensunterhalt zu beschreiten. Die Strecke von Jeju nach Seoul ist die h\u00e4ufigste Flugroute der Welt. <br>Aber nat\u00fcrlich gibt es auch <strong>F\u00e4hren von Busan, Mokpo, Haenam, Wando, Goheung, und Yeosu<\/strong>. Der Vorteil besteht darin, dass du dein Auto mitbringen und nat\u00fcrlich die Fahrt \u00fcber das Meer genie\u00dfen kannst.<br>In jedem Fall wirst du an der Nordseite der Insel in der gleichnamigen Hauptstadt Jeju-si ankommen. Die unterschiedlichen <strong>Orte und Sightseeing-Spots k\u00f6nnen mit dem Bus erreicht<\/strong> werden. Insgesamt gibt es acht Expressbuss-Linien, welche die G\u00e4ste in unter einer Stunde \u00fcber die Insel bringen.
